the monitoring process allows CGE to analyse and record all the relevant technical parameters of the plants such as the electrical levels, solar irradiation and temperature.
Having a real time monitoring solution is key in immediately detecting not only any incident happening in the plant but also a slight decrease in the electrical output. Because the plant has several measurement points connected to the monitoring system distributed throughout the plant, it is easy to detect in which part of the plant the incident happened.
Furthermore, the fact of being an online tool lets the team at CGE to analyse all their plants remotely and compare their output searching for best practices in the different plants managed.
Finally, the process is key for the optimal financial management of the assets as it provides CGE's Financial Department with an accurate value of the electricity generated at any point in time.
